    Frequently Asked Questions

What’s included in the price of an Elmwood home?

Our homes come with a range of included features designed to add value and comfort—from quality construction and energy-efficient systems to designer-selected finishes. Contact us or visit our model homes to learn more about specific inclusions.

How long does it take to build a new home?

Build times can vary depending on the floor plan, location, and weather conditions. On average, construction takes about 5 to 7 months from groundbreaking to move-in.

Can I make custom changes to the floor plan?

We offer a variety of flexible floor plans with customizable options to fit your lifestyle. While major structural changes may be limited, there are plenty of ways to personalize your new home.

Do you work with preferred lenders?

Yes! We partner with trusted local lenders who specialize in new home financing. Working with our preferred lenders can also come with added benefits, including closing cost assistance.

What kind of warranty comes with the home?

Each Elmwood home includes a 1-2-10 builder-backed warranty: 1 year for materials and workmanship, 2 years for major systems, and 10 years for structural components.

Can I tour a home before making a decision?

Absolutely! We invite you to tour our model homes or available inventory. Seeing the quality and craftsmanship in person makes all the difference.

Is a new home more energy-efficient than a resale home?

Yes—Elmwood Homes are built to today’s energy codes and include modern systems and insulation to help reduce your utility bills and increase long-term efficiency.

What happens after I sign a contract?

Once your contract is signed, we’ll guide you through the next steps: financing, design selections (if applicable), construction milestones, and your final walkthrough.
